Description
Nos. 13 and 15 High Street are a pair of houses that have been converted into one house and two shops. They date from the 17th century and were refronted around 1830. The building is constructed of limestone rubble with irregular left-hand quoins, brick window dressings, brick party wall stacks, and a stone slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high with a three-window range.
The left of centre doorway features an overlight and a panelled door. To the right, there is a late 19th-century shop front with a central doorway set back, which has a rectangular overlight and plate-glass windows, along with a plate-glass left-hand window that includes a fascia and cornice. The first floor has a 1:2 window arrangement with timber lintels, featuring 8/8-pane sashes on the left and 6/6-pane sashes on the right, while the second floor has 3/6-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
