Description

The Little House is a small house located on the north side of Mere Church Street. It is possibly from the 18th century but was refenestrated and raised in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble, with a roof that is concealed behind a parapet that returns at both ends. It has two storeys and features two windows with four-pane sashes. A four-panel door is set in reveals on the right side. The Little House is included mainly for its group value, as it steps forward from the adjacent Library and acts as a visual stop to a row of cottages.
