Description
There are two chest tombs located in the churchyard, about 13 metres west of the Church of St. Laurence. These tombs date from the early 19th century and are made of limestone. The southern tomb features a plinth, fielded panels on the sides, and end panels with paterae in the corners. It has reeded corner pilasters and a moulded flat top, although the inscription is illegible. The northern tomb is wider and also has a plinth, a flush rectangular panel with flanking panels that include lozenges, and a moulded flat top. This tomb commemorates Henry Strading, who died in 1818.
