Description

The property comprises a 17th-century house, now divided into two cottages, on the north side of Sutton Benger High Street. It is constructed of rubble stone and has a thatched roof, half-hipped at both the west and east ends, with a stack located at the east end. The building is 1½ storeys high. A large projecting gable on the right-hand side features a first-floor window with three ovolo-moulded mullions and a hood mould above. Below is a casement pair in a matching surround with a hood mould. A door to No. 64 is situated in the west side of this gable. To the left of the gable is a small square window, followed by a straight joint indicating the division between the cottages. No. 62, to the left, features an eyebrow dormer over an upper casement pair, and a ground-floor window composed of three casements. The roof extends down to the left, covering a porch with a door on its west side.
