Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the early 19th century that has been recased from a 17th century or earlier timber-framed house. It features a roughcast exterior with a slate roof and end stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range of exposed box sashes. On the first floor, there are three 16-pane sashes that do not align with the ground floor, which has a 20-pane half-glazed door set in a gabled porch and two 16-pane sashes. At the rear, there is a two-gabled wing, with a steeper gable that is timber-framed and slate hung, while a painted brick parallel gable is likely from the 19th century. There is also a two-storey brick and slate extension to the southeast that is not of special interest. Some timber-framing is visible at the rear of the main range, along with a studded plank rear door and heavy ground floor beams that are chamfered and stopped.
