Description

Three chest tombs located in the churchyard about 15 metres north of the Church of St Leonard, dating from the late 18th century to the mid 19th century. They are made of limestone. The southernmost tomb is dedicated to James, who died in 1780, and features two fielded panels, a central floral drop, a fluted frieze, and floral drops on the corner pilasters, topped with a flat surface. The two northern tombs are similar in design, showcasing oval egg and dart moulded panels, draped urns, cherubs, and quarter balusters. The eastern tomb is dedicated to George, who died in 1846, and has a weathered top, while the western tomb is for Mary, who died in 1790, and features a moulded flat top.
