Description
Long Barn Cottage is a mid to late 18th-century building that was originally two cottages and is now a single house. It is positioned gable-end to the street and constructed of coursed flint with brick quoins and a plat band, while the rear and gable are rendered. The roofs are a mix of tile and slate. The structure has two storeys, with each cottage comprising two bays, and the second cottage was added in the late 18th century. The entrances are located between the second and third bays, and the third and fourth bays, each featuring tiled gabled canopies. The windows are 20th-century timber casements. There is a stack on the original party wall, and the roof is hipped to the right. Inside, the ceiling beams have step and scoop chamfer stops.
