Description

The gate piers on the northeast side of The Fox and Hounds Inn are likely from the early 19th century. They are made of chamfered rusticated limestone and feature moulded cappings topped with pineapples surrounded by acanthus leaves. These piers have been reset in their current position, having originally been placed closer together.
