Description
Paddock House is a detached house dating to circa 1700. It is constructed of painted rubble stone with a double Roman tiled roof, incorporating coped verges and gable end stone stacks. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with a three-window front. The building is arranged in an L-shape. The front of the house features a blocked central doorway, with a 20th-century two-light mullioned casement inserted. Either side of the doorway are three-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. A continuous lintel string course runs along the front. The first floor has a two-light mullioned casement in the centre, flanked by three-light mullioned casements with hoodmoulds. There are two full attic gables, each containing a two-light recessed cyma-mullioned casement with dripstones. The rear of the house has a 20th-century flat-roofed extension to the left. The first floor of the rear has a three-light mullioned casement with a hoodmould, and a gabled wing to the left, likely original, now featuring 20th-century mullioned casements. One original chamfered light remains on the south side of this wing. The interior was not accessible during a survey in June 1987.
