Description
Villa, dating from the 1870s. Constructed from local grey limestone rubble with a slate roof, and stucco dressings. The building is in an Italianate style. It has been divided into flats. The main block is double-depth and faces south, with a service block to the west. The north front, facing Babbacombe Road, has a 1:3-window arrangement, with the service wing on the left. Windows have stuccoed architraves, mostly with four-pane sashes and horizontal glazing bars. A shallow, projecting stack is located to the right of centre, with round-headed panels and a shaft projecting through the eaves. The first-floor window on the left side of the main block has an eared surround, and one first-floor window has been converted into a door. The right return of the main block has a gabled front on the left, featuring a two-storey canted bay. The front entrance has rectangular and canted bays, with a gabled feature over the canted bay and a round-headed doorway. The interior has not been inspected but may retain features of interest.
