Description
A terrace of four houses at 3-6 Palace Place, dating from approximately 1845, located in Paignton. The houses are constructed of plastered material, with slate roofs and stacks featuring rendered shafts and some old pots. They are arranged as double-depth properties, each with a doorway positioned to the right of the facade. Each house comprises two storeys and an attic. The doorways were originally adorned with six-panel front doors (one surviving in No. 6), as well as panelled reveals (found in Nos. 5 and 3), and floating cornices supported on consoles. The windows are 12-pane double-hung sash windows, though those in No. 3 have been replaced with one-over-one-pane sashes. All but No. 3 have flat-roofed dormers. The interior has not been inspected, but may contain features of interest. The terrace occupies a prominent position opposite Paignton parish church.
