Description
Middle Hill Farmhouse is an early 19th-century building that underwent remodelling and alterations from an 18th-century house. It is two storeys high with a blocked attic, constructed of rubble with ashlar beaded dressings and chamfered stone quoins. The farmhouse features a modern tile roof with three brick ridge chimneys that have moulded plinths at the shafts. The right side has a raised and moulded verge with moulded footstones. Currently, there are three windows, which are segmental headed glazing bar sashes with keys and bead mould, dating from around 1800. There is a brick patch to the fabric on the left of the centre. The off-centre right trellis porch has a six-panel door, with the lower panels being reeded. At the rear, there is a one and a half storey extension with a gabled dormer that retains stone tiles. Additionally, there is a mid-19th-century barn at the rear made of rubble, which includes a pigeon loft that is not of special interest. A milepost is located in the boundary wall along the road.
