Description

Nos 28 and 29 in Chiseldon are probably from the 16th century, though they may be older. The building features part timber framing and has a thatched roof with one and a half storeys. The front is rendered on a sarsen plinth, with a brick and stone end to the right. It includes three eyebrow dormers, three windows, and a catslide glazed porch. The rear has a central bay made of sarsen rubble, flanked by timber-framed side bays, with a box frame on the left and a stud frame on the right. There is one eyebrow dormer at the rear as well. Inside, one wind brace is visible along with a hip cruck, also known as a gavel-fork.
