Description
Hill Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date from the 17th century or early 18th century and have been extensively modernized and converted. The farmhouse is two storeys high, built of rubble with a stone tile roof. The rear features an attic and a gabled wing that now serves as a porch supported by piers. The building has an irregular plan, with a quarter hipped gabled projection on the left that has a catslide roof. To the right is a two-window wing with a central doorway that has been converted into a window, along with a two-and-a-half storey extension at the rear. The windows are modern casements with lintels.
The barn is likely from the 18th century and is a long thatched structure with two midstreys on the west side that have glazed openings. It now features a central chimney, slit windows, and a buttress on the road frontage. The barn is connected to the farmhouse by a short link section. Both buildings are included in the listing due to their contribution to the character of the village.
