Description
Parsonage Farmhouse is a building that likely dates back to the 17th century, with its ground floor constructed of rubble and the first floor made of mid-19th century red brick above an ashlar string course. The farmhouse features a slate roof with brick chimneys at the gable ends. On the west side, there are three windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, which are tripartite with later glazing and moulded surrounds. The central entrance has a six-panel door with a moulded surround and a bracketed hood. The building has two gables facing the road, with a corrugated projection on the first floor; the right-hand gable is part of the earlier section from around 1700, which is two and a half storeys tall with a half-hipped mansard stone tile roof. This section includes a later four-light window on the ground floor above blocked three-light chamfered mullion windows, and a similar window is present on the first floor. Additionally, there is a mid-19th century tiled extension on the right.
