Description
This structure consists of a wall, gate piers, and an attached mounting block, located about 10 metres south-east of the Manor House in Almondsbury. It dates from the 18th century and is built from coursed limestone and sandstone rubble, with limestone ashlar and dressings. The wall is approximately 18 metres long and one metre high, constructed from limestone rubble with a coping. It ramps up to sandstone rubble piers that feature an ashlar cornice, plinth, cornice, and a large ball finial. There are also inner sandstone piers for gate attachment, and a stepped mounting block is situated at the south end of the wall.
