Description
The building is a bakehouse, now used as a storage building, located about 3 metres north of Rock House. It dates from the 17th century and has undergone some later alterations. The structure is made of rubble with a pantiled roof and stands 1½ storeys high, featuring a lean-to at the front. It has a central plank door with strap hinges set in an ovolo-moulded frame. The west and east sides of the building have two-light windows on both the ground and first floors, all with square mullions; the inside of the mullions is ovolo-moulded, except for the first floor west window, which has square mullions only. Inside, the north wall includes a large open fireplace and oven, with an ovolo-moulded, stopped lintel and a spit-rack above. There is also a ladder stair and shutters on the windows.
