Description

The Tithe Barn to the north of Hanham Court is a Grade II* listed building, likely dating from the 15th century. It is constructed of pennant stone rubble and features a stone-tiled roof with coped verges and saddlestones. The barn has two-stage angle buttresses.

On the west elevation, there is a central two-storey porch topped with a pyramidal roof, which includes a wide four-centred arch opening and a two-light casement window with a relieving arch above it, flanked by angle buttresses. The sides of the porch display a variety of openings. The east elevation features a chamfered depressed arch head opening, with buttresses on either side and single loop openings. The north end elevation has a pointed arch door opening and a single light trefoil-headed window.

Inside, the barn boasts an open timber roof supported by tie and collar beams, two purlins, and some arched windbraces. Additionally, there is a mounting block located at the south gable end.
