Description
Kington House is a mid-17th century building that was altered and extended in the late 18th century. It features a rendered exterior and a slate roof, standing two storeys high with five windows, mostly consisting of glazing bar sashes. The ground floor windows are set in exposed sash boxes. To the left, there is an advanced wing with a half-hipped roof and a six-panel door beneath a hood supported by brackets. The central section and the lower two-storey and attic wing to the right reflect the changes made to the original 17th-century house. Inside, the property boasts chamfered beams and a large inglenook fireplace in the parlour, which has a built-in metal fireback dated 1665. To the right of the fireplace, behind a screen of three turned balusters, is a complete dog wheel.
