Description
A group of nine 18th century and 19th century stone table tombs is located at the south-west corner of the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin. These tombs feature many enriched pilasters that frame lettered panels and elaborately carved cartouches. Two of the tombs have baluster corner pieces. The most notable tomb is a monument to the Thurston family, which includes incised lettering of various dates on its panels and a cartouche that bears arms.
