Description
The Lock-up and Pound, located on Thornbury Church Road, is an early 19th-century structure. It is built from coursed rubble and features a modern tiled roof. The building is a single storey with two high slit windows. A gabled projecting porch leads to a plank door with a four-centred arch. Behind the lock-up is the Pound, which consists of three rubble walls, with the fourth wall being the rear of the lock-up. The walls are approximately 5 feet high, and there is a gate in the centre of the south wall, along with a small embrasure to the left of the gate.
