Description
Numbers 64 and 70 on Broad Street are late 16th century to early 17th century buildings constructed of rubble with a plain tile roof. They are two storeys high with a twin-gabled attic. The facade features three windows, which are 2- and 3-light casements with moulded stone surrounds and mullions, all positioned under dripmoulds with returned stops. Each gable has a small oval window set in a rectangular stone panel, which includes four keystones and a dripmould. The gables also have 19th-century bargeboards. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century shopfront that has been altered, along with two canted bays beneath a continuous slated roof, which now have modern windows. Inside, the ground floor boasts elaborately moulded beams and two winding staircases.
