Description
Mount Pleasant is a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, with modifications made in the 19th century. They are two storeys high and constructed from a mix of lias and limestone rubble, featuring freestone quoins. The roofs are made of pantiles and are divided into two parts, with the left side having a steeper pitch. Each cottage has end chimneys and coped verges, with a saddlestone on the right and footstones.
The windows are casement style, likely with 19th-century wooden lintels. The right-hand cottage has two irregular windows on each floor and a half-glazed door to the left, along with a bread-oven projection to the right. The left-hand cottage features a two-storey gabled projection with one window on the right and one on the left. There is also a glazed conservatory to the left, which has two doors leading into the house. The cottages are built into the hillside, with the rear side rendered, and the left-hand cottage includes a newel stair projection.
