Description
This is a mid 19th century fountain located approximately 10 metres west of Sherbourne House in Frampton Cotterell. It is made of freestone and features a low, circular wall with a plain curved cap that surrounds a basin. In the centre of the basin stands an ornate fountain, which consists of a stepped, fluted column that supports an open, flower-like basin. From a smaller flower at the centre, the spout rises. This fountain was formerly the central feature of the drive leading to Dr. Henry Hawes Fox's asylum.
