Description
This listing describes the gates, two pairs of gate piers, and quadrant walls that form the entrance to Warmley House, dating from the 1830s. The quadrant entrance is constructed in rubble and features two pairs of dome-capped ashlar piers. The gates are made of cast iron, with a curved top rail and a center rail decorated with metal quatrefoils. There is a rubble wall extending from the gates to the stables, which dates from around 1800. This wall incorporates slag material for capping and has a ramped section at one point. The height of the wall varies, ranging from 5 to 12 feet. The entire boundary stretches approximately 50 yards long.
