Description
Two barns and a granary with stores, dating from the late 18th century, are located 15 yards to the east of Little Badminton Farmhouse. They are built of rubble with Cotswold stone slate roofs and enclose three sides of an open yard. The west barn features opposed entries, a gabled projecting porch on the east side, a catslide roof over a single-storey lean-to, and consists of nine bays with a tie-and collar-beam roof. There is also an engine house projecting at the rear. The north barn also has opposed entries, with a gabled projecting porch at the rear and a square-headed carriage entry at the front; it has five bays and a tie-and collar-beam roof. The granary and stores form the east wing of the group, with a flight of steps leading to the loft door set in a gable, and plank doors leading to the workshops at the south end.
