Description

The boundary post at Swineford, located opposite Somerset House, dates from 1823 and was likely created for MacAdam. It is a three-sided cast iron post with each face concave. The spine of the post features the inscription "Bristol Turnpike Trust" along with the date. On the left side, there is a panel that reads "Bitton PH," and on the right side, a panel that states "N Stoke PH."
