Nos 40 and 42 on High Street are late 18th century buildings. They have a render that is lined to resemble ashlar and feature a slate roof with brick stacks. The buildings are three storeys tall. No 40 has two glazing bar sash windows, while No 42 has one. The ground floor of No 40 has a modern front, and No 42 features a late 19th century shopfront.
