Description

This is an early 19th-century building on the south side of High Street, Sodbury. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a modern tiled roof. The building is three storeys high and features two glazing bar sash windows with dressings and relieving arches above. A good mid-19th century butcher’s shopfront was originally present, featuring bow windows. Only the timber cornice and plain frieze of the shopfront now remain, along with panelled wood pilasters. Later sash windows are fitted, with a cast iron ventilator grille located at the top.
