Description

This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 6 metres north of the porch of the Church of St. James the Less in Iron Acton. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of freestone. The tomb features a moulded slab with armorial ends. The sides have plain panels intended for inscriptions, which are now illegible, and are flanked by decorative panels. It has a moulded base and a plain plinth.
