Description

A group of three cottages, originally a single house, dating to the mid-to-late 17th century, with alterations and extensions in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed of roughcast rubble with pantile roofs. They are arranged in a cross-passage L-shaped plan. The cottages are two storeys high with three windows, all now fitted with six-pane sashes. A door is located off-centre to the right of the front, and another at the extreme left. At the rear, to the left (west), the roof has been raised, and the central passage is now open. A lean-to block has been added at a right angle to the west. Internally, there are two large blocked fireplaces with adjacent winders. The left room contains a stop-chamfered cross beam, while the right room has a chamfered spine beam. Within the same room is a blocked window with visible lead and stays. A rear passage door frame, now set at a right angle, retains chamfered joints and cambered lintels.
