Description

The Nook is a house dating from 1688, as indicated by its datestone. It features roughcast walls and a double roman tile roof. The building has a half entry and is arranged in two units over one and a half storeys. There are two windows with two and three-light timber mullion casements, each with hoodmoulds. The structure has two gables flanking a single-storey gabled porch that contains an ovolo-moulded door frame. At the rear, there is a narrow two-storey wing and a 20th-century lean-to garage on the right side. Inside, the house includes stopped and chamfered beams, an inglenook, and a spice cupboard.
