Description

A house and attached cottage, dating from the 18th century, now combined into a single dwelling. The building is constructed of local rubble walls, with a section on the left side having been rebuilt. It has a dry slate, half-hipped roof with a significant number of re-used, crested clay ridge tiles dating from the 17th or early 18th century. The end stacks are rendered, and there is a stack positioned over the original party wall. The plan consists of a single-depth main section, a wing projecting at a right angle to the rear centre of the house, and a lean-to at the rear of the cottage on the left side.

The two-storey front elevation has a 1:3-window arrangement; the three-window range was originally symmetrical, with a central doorway that has since been replaced with a window. The other windows are late 19th or 20th century 2-light casements with glazing bars. A gabled hood shelters the planked front door to the left. The interior was not inspected, but it is likely to retain original features of interest.
