Description
Courtgates Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Staddiscombe Road in Plymstock. The building features a stuccoed front and a dry slate roof with a central valley and projecting eaves, along with four brick and rendered end stacks. It has a double-depth plan and includes a lower service wing at the rear right, which may have originally been stables. The farmhouse is two storeys tall with a symmetrical three-window front. It has late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows and a slate hipped hood over the central doorway, which contains a four-panel door that has been later glazed in the top panels. The rear of the building features casement windows with glazing bars and a central lean-to porch. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
