Description
This range of outbuildings, located north of Courtgates Farmhouse, is likely from the early to mid-19th century and may have served as a barn or stables with a hayloft above. Constructed from local rubble, the building features segmental arches over the ground-floor openings and has a corrugated asbestos half-hipped roof. The structure has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. There are two central doorways on the first floor, which can be accessed by a flight of stone steps from the left. The ground-floor doorways are positioned to the right of the steps and at the centre of the left-hand end. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to retain its original floor and roof structures.
