Description
The wall, piers, and steps are approximately 300 metres long and run parallel to the Spinning House, built between 1763 and 1771. The structure is made of rubble with ashlar piers. It features a capped retaining wall that leads to a cobbled roadway, which ramps up to the northern square pier. There is an archway underneath the ramp, with a central path that connects to the archway in the Tarring and Wheel House. This wall serves as a retaining wall for the roadway on the eastern side of the Spinning House and is included for its group value as part of an outstanding 18th-century industrial complex.
