Description
The dockyard wall, built between 1763 and 1771, is located in Devonport Dockyard and is made of limestone rubble. This tall wall features a moulded coping and extends approximately 500 meters from east of the entrance to the No.1 Covered Slip to the north of the Master Ropemaker's House. The wall enclosed the area to the east and south of the ropeyard, which was completed in 1771, and it holds significant group value with the listed buildings of the ropeyard.
