Description
The Matron's House at Sidney Hill Cottage Homes is a building constructed in 1907 by Silcock and Reay. It serves as the Matron's House for the almshouses and is made of brick with a plain tile roof. The structure has one storey and an attic. It features 3-light wooden casement windows with small leaded panes, with the attic windows located under the gables. There are two Tudor-arched doorways with plank doors on the south and east fronts. The east front also includes a wooden round-arched loggia, while the south front has a gabled porch. The house was built at the expense of Sidney Hill of Langford House.
