Description
Ash Green is a detached house with a core dating back to the 17th century, featuring a left-hand wing and a right-hand outshut that were added in the early 19th century. The main section is roughcast and has a pantile roof, while the 19th-century parts have a double Roman tile roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high.
The windows in the main block are plate glass sashes with marginal glazing, and there are two 9-pane sashes in the left-hand wing. The doorway to the main block features a reeded architrave and an arched head, topped with a flat hood supported by carved brackets. It has a six-panel door with four glazed lights. The left-hand wing has an additional early 19th-century four-panel door. The outshut has a Gothick-arched doorway with a plank door. The house is also equipped with three brick stacks.
