Description

This is an early 19th-century house, originally built as a pair of cottages. It is constructed of rendered rubble with a pantile roof, featuring raised coped verges. The house is two storeys high with four windows on the front elevation. The left-hand two windows have glazing bar sashes set beneath segmental arches, and a two-panel door is positioned to the left, sheltered by a flat porch supported by slender, square columns. The right-hand two windows feature multi-pane casements, also set beneath segmental arches. A door matching the left-hand door sits beneath a gabled porch adorned with cusped bargeboards and a finial, also supported by slender columns. All windows are surrounded by painted plaster voussoirs. A single window, with a multi-pane casement beneath a segmental head with a brick arch and stone voussoirs, extends to the left along the roadside, behind a flat-roofed rubble wall. The rear features a two-story parallel range with two windows, glazing bar sashes, and a later ground floor bay. A high rubble wall runs along the side of the front garden, topped with a flat coping which sweeps up to reach eaves height.
