Description

The Burrow Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 6 metres south of the porch of the Church of St. Andrew. It dates from 1770 and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a moulded base and an ovolo-moulded slab, which is adorned with gadrooned angle pilasters. There are two inscription panels on either side, bordered with Rococo swirls and incised lettering in a florid script dedicated to Edward Burrow.
