Description

The Knight Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, just 1 metre south of the chancel of the Church of St. Andrew in Congresbury. It dates from 1615 and is made of limestone. The tomb features a chamfered base block with a rectangular chest and a deeply chamfered slab. On the east end, there is a coved inscription panel that has deeply incised capitals, which records the inscription to Seymon Knight.
