Description

The Shepard chest tomb, located 10 metres south of the chancel of the Parish Church of St. Andrew, is a Grade II listed structure. This chest tomb features an earliest legible date of 1633, marking the death of Margaret Shepard. It is made of freestone, with a coarsely cut inscribed end panel and a finely cut south panel dated 1765. The tomb is topped with a heavy chamfered slab.
