Description

The Burge pedestal tomb, located 13 metres south of the priest's door of the Parish Church of St. Andrew, dates back to 1796 and is dedicated to Thomas Burge. It is made of freestone and features a square gadrooned finial atop a stepped crown. The tomb has fluted corner pilasters and a moulded base, with a plinth that was formerly enclosed by railings. All faces of the tomb display full, finely cut inscriptions.
