Description
The terrace walls, balustrades, and garden stairs located south of Tyntesfield House were constructed around 1865 by John Norton. Made of ashlar, the revetments form the terrace on the southern front of Tyntesfield House, featuring an imperial garden staircase at the center. This staircase is adorned with a balustrade of pierced quatrefoils and includes a seat on the landing. At the western end of the terrace, there is a similar balustrade of pierced quatrefoils. These features are an integral part of the formal garden design surrounding Tyntesfield House, which is noted for its landscaped gardens that are registered as grade II*.
