Description

The Church of All Saints is an Anglican church located on Winscombe Hill Road, built between 1883 and 1885 by Hans Price. It is constructed from rough-faced snecked rubble and covered with plain tiles, showcasing a Perpendicular style. The church features a west porch and a nave with a chancel. The west porch and vestry have a lean-to roof behind a pierced parapet adorned with carved heads at the cornice. There are two pairs of two-light square-headed windows with dripmoulds and stops. The west bellcote tower has an ashlar cap with two smaller openings below it. The nave includes two square-headed three-light windows under dripmoulds with carved stops, with buttresses in between. The chancel has a similar lancet window, and the east window, located in an otherwise plain gable, is pointed with three lights and dripmoulds. The carved label stops feature a king and a bishop. Inside, the church retains its original fittings, with a two-bay nave and a three-shafted, moulded chancel arch. The wagon roof is embellished with carved gilded bosses on embattled wall plates. The sanctuary includes an ogee-headed sedile and piscina.
