Description

The structure consists of two chest tombs located 1 metre east of the Church of St Andrew in Congresbury. One tomb, belonging to Watts, is dated 1633, while the other dates back to 1539. Both tombs are made of limestone and feature chamfered base blocks with rectangular chests and deeply chamfered slabs. The east ends of the tombs have moulded coved inscription panels, with the Watts tomb displaying deeply incised capitals, while the other tomb has eroded capitals.
