Description
This building, located to the northeast of the lighthouse in St. Agnes, was constructed around 1840 and originally served as quarters for lighthouse and coastguard staff. It is now a house. The exterior features colourwashed render over granite rubble and a slate roof with kneelers to the stone coping, along with lateral and end stacks that have octagonal shafts. The building is designed in a picturesque Tudor style, with an H-plan layout that includes a central range and two return cross wings. The gables are adorned with a ground-floor three-light and a first-floor two-light mullioned casement window, both with glazing bars in chamfered surrounds. The central range has two similar first-floor windows above a verandah, which is accessed by half-glazed double doors flanked by one-light windows, also in chamfered surrounds. The interior has not been inspected.
