Description

Stone Park is an early 19th-century house built in the Regency style. It features plastered walls, slate roofs, and plastered stacks. The building is part two-storey and part single-storey, with the entrance located on the north front. The central block is three storeys high, flanked by two-storey side wings that are set back. There is a single-storey flat-roofed extension at the front, which has been rebuilt.

The entrance consists of a pair of glazed doors in the center, with a tall window on each side. The central block has three double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on both the first and second floors. The two-storey side wings feature parapets with simple moulded cornices and circular-headed double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. To the east, there is a single-storey block that was formerly a billiard room and is now converted into garages.

On the south garden front, the central block has a hipped roof, while the side wings have bowed fronts and parapets similar to those on the north. A moulded string course runs across the first floor level of the entire front. The ground floor of the central block includes a pair of French doors with stepped glazing and an ornamental fanlight, along with two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. Each side wing's ground floor has a pair of French doors, flanked by double-hung sash windows with stepped glazing. The first floor of the side wings has three double-hung sash windows, with the center window featuring glazing bars and bordered panes, while the outer windows have stepped glazing. The garage range to the east has two circular-headed double-hung sash windows with glazing bars.

Internally, the main ground floor rooms are adorned with good ornamental cornices, ceiling roses, and carved architraves in the Rococo Gothick style. Stone Park is a notable 19th-century house.
