Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory that has been converted into a private house, built in 1837 by W. Kendal. The building features dressed stone walls with ashlar quoins, a stone string-course above the ground floor, and a cornice over the first floor. It has a hipped slate roof with brick stacks located behind the ridge. The house is double-depth and consists of two storeys. The front facade has three windows, which are sashes with glazing bars and have eaved stone architraves and cills. There are recessed-panel aprons under the first-floor windows. The central front doorway is framed by a stone architrave and features a panelled door with glazing in the top half, dating from the 19th century.
